Educational goals and objectives

MANAGEMENT The learning objectives of the PhD programme reflect a vision that aims both to advance the frontiers of knowledge and to foster the acquisition of practical skills. The programme primarily seeks to promote in-depth study of innovative topics within the fields of economics and business administration, with the goal of generating results with significant theoretical and practical implications. In addition, the PhD programme encourages doctoral candidates’ integration into national and international research networks, offering them the opportunity to collaborate with leading academic centres as well as with public and private organisations. Another crucial objective is to develop the ability to plan, carry out, and complete research projects—both independently and as part of a team—and to present findings in written and oral form, so that each scholar can critically discuss their own work. Finally, the programme aims to bring out transferable skills—from strategic problem-solving to scientific communication—that facilitate access to positions of responsibility across different career paths.
