Research Methodology Course - part 1
The Research Methodology course aims to provide advanced training on the main research methods applicable within the field of economics and business studies. The course is intended for first-year PhD students and is designed to support the development of individual research projects in the following years. The detailed program of the lectures is as follows: Fundamentals of Research Design (6 hours), Analysis of Research Design Alternatives (6 hours), Literature Review (6 hours), Systematic Literature Review (6 hours), How to Make an Effective Presentation (6 hours), Presentation Training (6 hours)

PhD students can use the language laboratory to improve their foreign language skills, as well as the courses organized by the library on the use of sector-specific databases.
Modalità di scelta del soggetto della tesi The thesis topic is agreed upon with the supervisor based on the PhD student’s research interests.
Modalità delle verifiche per l'ammissione all'anno successivo Admission to the following year by the Faculty Board is based on the evaluation of the semester reports on activities carried out, and on the completion of the program of activities planned for the previous year (attendance at lectures and seminars, participation in research and study activities).

Modalità di preparazione della tesi PhD students meet regularly with their supervisors, following an agreed-upon timeline for the development of the dissertation. These meetings serve to periodically present the progress of their research work and to receive feedback, guidance, and suggestions through discussion of the topics addressed.
Modalità delle verifiche per l'ammissione all'anno successivo Admission to the following academic year by the Academic Board is based on the evaluation of the semi-annual reports on activities carried out, as well as the completion of the planned activities for the previous year (attendance at lectures and seminars, participation in research and study activities).

Modalità di ammissione all'esame finale The Academic Board decides on the admission of PhD students to the final examination based on detailed reports regarding their study and research activities. The dissertation is sent to two external reviewers, who recommend either the admission of the dissertation to the public defense or its postponement, in accordance with Article 8 of the PhD Regulations.
Modalità di svolgimento dell'esame finale The final examination takes place through a public defense before a committee appointed by the Rector, as established in Article 9 of the Regulations. In the event of approval, the Committee provides a qualitative evaluation of the dissertation.
