Our Mission

The mission of the PhD Program in Business Administration (Management) at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” is to train researchers and professionals capable of integrating expertise in management, accounting, finance, and public governance into a single multidisciplinary path. Through rigorous research methodologies, the program develops analytical and operational skills to interpret complex phenomena and guide change processes in public and private business contexts. Thanks to applied research and collaboration with companies, financial institutions, and public administrations, PhD candidates apply knowledge in real contexts, contributing to the generation of innovative and sustainable solutions.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a national and international ecosystem of PhD candidates, faculty, companies, and institutions, capable of generating, sharing, and applying advanced business knowledge across the private, public, and non-profit sectors, fostering innovation and sustainable development.

The Program structure is organized into three tracks: Banking and Finance, Business Management and Accounting, and Public Management and Governance.

Each of them focuses on specific research activities, lectures, and seminars related to its own academic area. During the first year, the tracks offer a joint course in Research Methodology, aimed at providing PhD students with a solid foundational knowledge of research design from the very beginning.
