Gaspare Galati is an Italian expert in radar systems, signal processing, and air traffic management. After earning a top-degree in Nuclear Engineering (1970), he worked in industry (Selenia/Finmeccanica) and then pursued a distinguished academic career at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, becoming Full Professor of Radar Theory and Techniques. He has led and coordinated major European and NATO research programs, organized key international conferences, authored over 300 publications and 8 books, and holds 20 patents. He is Professor Emeritus and an IEEE Senior Member.
