Educational goals and objectives

SYSTEMS AND EXPERIMENTAL MEDICINE

The PhD program is focused into five research topics in the Internal Medicine area: (a) Metabolic disorders (Obesity, Diabetes, NAFLD, Atherosclerosis) (b) Cardiovascular disorders, (c) Mucosal Inflammation disorders (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), (d) Clinical Oncology, (s) Respiratory disorders. The course is organized in three years with compulsory laboratory attendance during the academic year. At the beginning of the first academic year, students will be assigned a research project and a laboratory supervisor in accordance with the purpose of the course.
