Clinical Trials Day

18/04/2026

The Clinical Trials Day was established with the aim of promoting the strategic value of clinical research as a fundamental driver of scientific progress, the improvement of health outcomes, and the development of innovative and sustainable models of care. Now in its second edition, the event is conceived as an ecosystem for dialogue among healthcare professionals, researchers, institutions, pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies, as well as other stakeholders, with the goal of strengthening the clinical research system at both national and international levels.

In the current context—characterized by the implementation of Good Clinical Practice ICH E6(R3), the increasing complexity of studies, and the evolution toward a more participant-centered approach—there is a clear need to develop organizational and operational models capable of ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. From this perspective, clinical research represents a key element in enhancing national competitiveness, increasing attractiveness for research investments, and accelerating patient access to safe and effective therapeutic innovations.

The scientific program reflects these priorities, with a focus on innovation in pharmacological and medical device trials, the integration of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence into research processes, and emerging international perspectives, including decentralized and digital models. Particular attention is also given to the role of the various professional figures involved and to the promotion of organizational models capable of supporting high-quality and impactful clinical research.

In this context, the generation of robust scientific evidence that can be effectively translated into clinical practice remains essential to ensure increasingly effective, safe, and cutting-edge care, appropriately addressing the health needs of the population. The initiative represents an opportunity to foster dialogue among the different stakeholders, encourage the sharing of experiences and best practices, and contribute to the development of a shared strategic vision, in line with the most recent regulatory and scientific frameworks at both national and international levels.

Clinical Trials Day thus emerges as an event of institutional and scientific relevance, aimed at supporting the development of a research culture grounded in quality, responsibility, and a strong focus on the individual.
