Valentina Bianchini is a Ph.D. candidate in Management, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", and a Marie Sklowdoska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Early Stage Researcher at CEIS, within the International Research Network "SAPIENS", funded by the European Commission. Her research project explores how to foster sustainability in global supply chains via the instrument of Sustainable Public Procurement. Previously, she covered managerial and advisory roles for International Organizations in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa (UNDP and World Bank), and for National Institutions in Italy (Italian National School for Public Administration). Her main areas of expertise are Public Procurement, Anti-corruption, and Sustainable Supply Chain Management. As part of her research program, she is currently conducting a research period abroad as "Visiting Scholar" at George Washington University, in Washington D.C.
