The PhD intends to train young researchers whose career prospects will be boosted by their participation in a series of different research projects having as their central theme issues relating to medicine applied to the social, forensic and occupational system. This will allow them to acquire a wide range of skills in a field characterized by constant technological innovation and with enormous repercussions both in terms of research and commercial for the application of innovative methods in terms of worker health and modernization of the health system and assistance in general.
The nature of the training covers a broad spectrum: PhD students are instructed to develop their technical expertise and cultivate the qualities for a complete profile of a modern researcher. These include the ability to deal with multidisciplinary problems and acquire knowledge, creativity, open-mindedness, and ultimately the ability to be a true innovator in support of the competitiveness fostered by the EU.
The program allows PhD students to tailor their training to their specific applied research field by gaining access to a broad spectrum of highly qualified institutes and companies that form an integral part of the network involved in the training programme.
