Seminars
The scientific life of the Department of Mathematics is enlivened by a rich and continuous seminar activity, covering a broad spectrum of advanced research areas. These regular appointments are a fundamental meeting point for discussing the latest discoveries, fostering collaborations, and maintaining an intellectually stimulating environment for the entire community. The seminars are an opportunity to listen to mathematicians from leading Italian and international research institutions. Many of these activities are supported by the MIUR Excellence Department Project MatMod@TOV, highlighting the excellence-driven research character that distinguishes them.
Active participation of PhD students in this vibrant scientific life is an essential component of their training. All PhD students are expected to take part regularly in the department's activities, in particular the Colloquium and at least one research seminar aligned with their thesis project. To further encourage the growth and exchange among young researchers, a seminar autonomously managed by PhD students is also active, offering a valuable space to present and discuss their work in an informal and constructive setting. Complete schedules and calendars are available on the department's dedicated web pages, to which all interested parties are invited to refer.
