The topics covered within the PhD course are present on the website of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”: https://phd.uniroma2.it/web/CELLULAR-AND-MOLECULAR-BIOLOGY_nD999_EN.aspx . The details of the results of the research carried out by doctoral students are proven by their publications and communications at conferences and congresses (see INSIGHT).
First year students must attend the courses offered and participate in all seminar activities both relating to the research progress of students and to scientific seminars held by Italian and foreign researchers (https://phd.uniroma2.it/web/SEMINARS-CELLULAR-AND-MOLECULAR-BIOLOGY_nH999_EN.aspx). During these meetings, students must actively participate in the discussion sessions. First year students must present the outline of the research project they intend to carry out to the third year students who critically evaluate the papers. Subsequently, the students, in groups of two per meeting, present the research project to the teaching staff. The 16 first-year students presented their projects in front of the Teaching Board from May 2022 to July 2022, always receiving more than sufficient evaluations for the categories: Scientific content, Adequacy of the approach, Quality of the discussion, Quality of the presentation, Responses to the questions. Overall, during the 2021/22 academic year, more than 25 sessions of teaching activities related to the research of doctoral students and other sessions for scientific seminars were held in which all doctoral students of the three active doctoral cycles participated.
Second year students must attend the courses offered and participate in all seminar activities both relating to the research progress of students in subsequent years and to scientific seminars held by Italian and foreign researchers (https://phd.uniroma2.it/web/SEMINARS-CELLULAR-AND-MOLECULAR-BIOLOGY_nH999_EN.aspx).
