Angela Ulacco è Ricercatrice in Tenure-Track al dipartimento di Studi letterari, Filosofici e di Storia dell’Arte dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata. Dopo essersi addottorata in storia della filosofia antica all’Università di Pisa nel 2010, ha ricoperto posizioni di Post-Doc nelle università di Tübingen, Pisa e Leuven. Dal 2013 al 2019 è stata Assistant Professor di storia della filosofia greca alla Albert Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germania, borsista della Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung (Feodor Lynen for experienced researchers) alla Université de Fribourg in Svizzera dal 2020 al 2021e Research Associate, dal 2021 al 2025, al De Wulf Mansion Centre for Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy, KU Leuven, nel quadro del progetto ERC Advanced ‘Not Another History of Platonism’(grant agreement No. 885273).
La sua ricerca si concentra sull’interazione tra le tradizioni filosofiche antiche, sul Pitagorismo, Platone e i platonismi nell’antichità, su Aristotele e la sua ricezione nella tradizione platonica. Affronta temi di filosofia della natura, metafisica e psicologia, oltre a indagare il rapporto tra autorità epistemica, esegesi e pseudepigrafia nell’Antichità e questioni di metodologia della storia della filosofia.
