The scientific research activity concerned the following thematic areas: laser processing technologies; electrodeposition technologies of innovative materials and their characterization; simulation of manufacturing processes; unconventional materials technologies. In detail: application of solid state lasers marking, milling and cutting operations. Use of short pulse laser sources for the surface preparation of aluminum alloys for the purpose of improving the bonding. Use of short pulse laser sources for the surface preparation of thermoplastic matrix composites for the purpose of improving bonding. Innovative joining technologies. Laser finishing of components obtained for EBM. Copper-graphene electrodeposition technologies. Applications of artificial neural networks in industrial processes. Development of innovative techniques for the characterization of osmosis damage. Technologies for the production of carboresins with recycled fibers.

Coordinator of the Techniques and processes project for the functional metal-polymer connection, Lazio Region PO FSE 2014-2020 Public Notice "Intervention for the strengthening of research in Lazio - incentives for innovation doctorates for companies". National Project entitled "TIG - Innovative Joining and Finishing Technologies for the Furniture Industry" (PON-FIT B01 / 0630/03 / X17). The project involved the Interuniversity Research Center on Innovative Technologies for Instrumental Goods (CIRTIBS), SCM Group and LASIT SpA.
