Roberto Mosena (Rome, 1975) is a tenure-track researcher of Italian Literature at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He earned his undergraduate degree in Literature, completed two advanced courses in Italian Language and Literature, and obtained a Ph.D. in Italian Studies at the same institution. He later pursued a second Ph.D. in Communication of Literature and Italian Cultural Tradition in the World at the University for Foreigners of Perugia. From 2022 to 2025, he was a fixed-term researcher (RTDa) in Italian Literature at the University for Foreigners of Perugia. His scholarly work focuses on modern and contemporary Italian literature, including studies on Goldoni’s theater and language, critical editions of works by the Scapigliatura poet Tarchetti, and monographs on Roccatagliata Ceccardi, the Ligurian influences in Montale’s poetry, and authors such as Campana, Fenoglio, and Quasimodo. He has also researched the Pietro Tordi Poetry Archive, publishing previously unrecorded lectures by 20th-century poets like Bassani, Bellezza, Caproni, Raboni, Spaziani and Volponi, alongside work on travel literature and literary tourism. Mosena has authored about 30 books, including monographs, essay collections, critical editions, and edited volumes, as well as approximately 100 essays, articles, and critical analyses in national and international journals. His methodology integrates thematic, symbolic, and stylistic criticism, supplemented by philological, archival, and intertextual approaches. Among his books: Roccatagliata Ceccardi.
