MAIN RESEARCH EXPERTISE:

Mechanics of masonry structures, with emphasis on seismic vulnerability of historic and monumental buildings.

Mechanics of materials: metamaterials and 3D printing, composite materials, functionally graded materials, piezoelectric materials.

Biomechanics: lab-on-a-chip systems, electrical impedance cytometry, visual transduction
