Research: Personnel reorganisation as valuable lever in Long Term Care

I am engaged in the social-health sector as a Legal Guardian of a fragile person as well as in the PhD in Business Economics of the present University, in the Public Management and Governance track, in a project aimed to develop cost-effectiveness Long Term Care services in a context of structural scarcity of health personnel. Previously, having received a scientific and economic-managerial education, I had the pleasure of working in different economic sectors such as the tourism sector, the third sector, and the health/social-health sector, all characterized by a specific element: in all three the person and its well-being is at the center of the actions, values and missions of the institutions and professionals who are committed to making their valuable contribution every day. My approach to the social-health sector took place gradually. In 2017, while I was employed in the third sector, I began to cover the role of Legal Guardian of a fragile person, in conditions of very serious disability, perfecting the taking charge of the beneficiary in various health treatments (Hospital, Rehabilitation Institute, Home Care). In 2020 the advent of the Pandemic and the consequent compromise of some care pathways, such as Integrated Home Care, marked me deeply: since then I have decided that I would dedicate myself entirely to health and social-health care so that even the last ones, the frail and their loved ones, may have more adequate answers to their non-self-sufficiency. In September 2020 I enrolled at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in the course of Economics and Management - Master's degree - conditioning it for the health sector. I successfully completed my studies on 11 November 2022, having had the opportunity to work for a sector organization (KOS S.p.A. Group), and dedicating the experimental thesis to the development of an innovative management model for the nursing staff inside a Long Term Care facility or Nursing home. On February 1, 2023 I was among the winners of this PhD, to which I am dedicating myself full time. I have the pleasure of collaborating, and learning, from the teachers of the Accounting area, in particular Prof. A. Chirico (Supervisor) and Prof. G. Palozzi (Co-Supervisor), in terms of teaching and research.
