With a degree in mathematics, Irene Enriques worked at the Software Division of the Houghton and Mifflin publishing house, Cambridge MA, 1992.
Since September 1992 she has worked at Zanichelli, first as editor, then as editorial line manager, then as General Secretary and, since 2006, as General Manager.
During her tenure, she has created a Digital Media Division within the Editorial Management, an Information Systems Division dedicated to the development of digital services for the public (directed by Andrea Malfer Poma) and a Data Office that reports directly to the General Management.
He is on the Board of Directors of Zanichelli SpA and among the shareholders (the Enriques family as a whole is a majority shareholder).
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Trento since 2020.
