Giuseppe Bettoni is Professor of Geography at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Rome and at the Jean Jaures University of Toulouse in France; Bettoni is a member of the French Institute of Geopolitics in Paris. An expert in Geopolitics, he studied Political Science in Bologna, Geography and Geopolitics at the University Paris 8 “Saint Denis”, where he has been a student of Yves Lacoste and Béatrice Giblin. As a scholar, he has been invited to London School of Economics, University College of London, Science Po Toulouse and The Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

Bettoni’s research focuses on land conflicts, territorial organization, decentralization, identity, geopolitics of food and agriculture. He has written and/or directed dozens of papers on these topics covering territories as diverse as Italy, France, the U.S., the European Union, and Africa. As an analyst, he is often solicited by media such as Radio, Television and print media, particularly in Italy and France.
