Gino Roncaglia is an Associate Professor (Full Professor from Nov. 1, 2024) of Philosophy of Information, Digital Publishing, and Digital Humanities at Roma Tre University, after a long period of teaching at the University of Tuscia. He is the author of numerous essays in the fields of the history of logic (with a particular focus on the history of modal logic between the Middle Ages and Leibniz) and new media (with a particular focus on the future of books and reading, the use of new technologies in the cultural and educational sectors, and the philosophy of information). He is among the experts who contributed to the drafting of the 2016-2020 National Digital School Plan and has long collaborated with RAI Cultura. He has taught theories and practices of e-Learning at the National School of Administration, served on the libraries and cultural institutes committee of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MIBACT), and is a member of the Scientific Council of the Foundation "School of Cultural Heritage and Activities". He is an honorary professor at the National University of Villa María in Argentina. Among his most recent books are "L’architetto e l’oracolo. Forme del sapere digitale da Wikipedia a ChatGPT" (Laterza 2023), "L’età della frammentazione. Cultura del libro e scuola digitale" (Laterza, first edition 2018, second enlarged edition 2020) and "The Fourth Revolution: Six Lessons on the Future of the Book" (Laterza 2010).

He also authored some episodes of the radio program Wikiradio (RAI RadioTre).  Scientific consultant for the websites and online presence of RAI Cultura, he conceived the lesson plan builder created by RAI Scuola.

During the COVID-19 emergency, he authored and presented on behalf of RAI Cultura the Scuola@Casa program (10 episodes of introduction to distance learning), the Scuola@Casa News program (40 episodes, Moige 2020 award), the Scuola News program (35 episodes).
