Professor Chen is a Full Professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), China. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Polymeric Materials and Engineering (2004) and her Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry (2007) from NPU, and earned her Ph.D. in Materials for Energy and Environment from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, Italy, in 2010, acquiring strong international research experience in advanced energy-related materials. She began her academic career at NPU as a Lecturer in the School of Science (2010–2012), was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012, and has continuously expanded her academic and research activities within NPU. where she is actively involved in teaching, supervising graduate students, and leading research projects. Her current research interests focus on solid-state ion-conducting materials for energy and electrochemical applications, as well as the sonochemical synthesis of hybrid functional materials with tunable and controllable structures. Her research aims to establish clear structure–property relationships and to develop innovative materials with enhanced functional performance. Prof. Chen has co-authored over 80 scientific publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals indexed in the ISI Web of Science and Scopus, and her work is well recognized in the fields of materials chemistry and energy materials.
