Prof. Ennio Tasciotti earned his M.S. in Biological Sciences, summa cum laudae, in 2000 at University of Pisa and his M.S. In Molecular Biology, summa cum laudae, in 2001 at the Scuola Normale Superiore degli Studi di Pisa. In 2005 Ennio Tasciotti obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology, summa cum laudae, at the Scuola Normale Superiore degli Studi di Pisa in collaboration with the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB). In 2005 he was a postdoctoral fellow in Molecular Imaging at the Center for Molecular Biomedicine as part of the Cluster Smart Health of AREA Science Park in Trieste. From 2006 till 2009 he was a senior postdoctoral fellow at the Nanomedicine Laboratory of the Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC), Houston, TX. In 2009, Prof. Tasciotti became assistant professor of Nanomedicine at the department of Experimental Therapeutics of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC-H), and was promoted to associate professor of Nanomedicine in 2011 at the Institute for Academic Medicine of the Houston Methodist Research Institute, Houston, TX. Prof. Tasciotti was the founder and director of the Center for Biomimetic Medicine, as part of the Regenerative Medicine Program of the Houston Methodist Research Institute (2016-2020), and the founder and director of the Center for Musculoskeletal Regeneration in the Department of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine at the Houston Methodist Hospital (2017-2020) where he also held the position of Vice Chair for Research at the Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine of the Houston Methodist Hospital. In 2021 Prof. Tasciotti became the director of the Human Longevity Program, IRCCS San Raffaele in Rome, and is a full professor of Technical Sciences of Laboratory Medicine at the Department of Human Sciences and Promotion of Quality of Life.
