Anna Maria Lorusso is Full Professor in Philosophy and theory of languages ; she teaches Semiotics, Semiotics of culture and Semiotics of journalistic texts at the University of Bologna, where she also directs the Master's in Publishing and coordinates the Degree Course in Communication Sciences. From 2017 to 2021 you were President of the Italian Association of Semiotic Studies.
Among her main fields of research: social rhetorics, information regimes, collective memory. Her latest book is entitled L'utilità del senso comune, Bologna, il Mulino; among the previous ones: Post-truth. Fra reality TV, social media and storytelling, Roma-Bari, Laterza, 2018.
Alongside her academic activity, she has been carrying out constant editorial consultancy work for more than twenty years, first for Bompiani and now for La nave di Teseo.
