Research interests

Dr. De Luca's research interests are focused on studying the mechanisms underlying cancer dissemination, namely the

epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Specifically, she investigates how the modulation of the EMT signaling cascade is influenced by alterations in copper homeostasis and intracellular copper distribution in various types of cancers, including breast, melanoma, colorectal, and pancreatic cancer.
